One common deception of the devil in to instill fear and the feeling of low esteem in the mind of people. Most times you have a leading to take a bold step which will land you into greatness but trust me, the devil is not sleeping. He will always come around to discourage you by giving you some ‘valid reasons’ you shouldn’t take the step.
The sad truth is many tend to fall because I must admit that most of the reasons the devil will give you are obvious facts in the physical realm . But you see, God is a SPIRIT (John 4:24) so He has no business with the physical realm.
And God also expects you to function as a SPIRIT. On a serious note YOU ARE BIGGER THAN YOU KNOW. God enjoys doing great things with little people.
A CASE STUDY OF SOME BIBLICAL CHARACTERS
In Exodus 3: God wanted to use tiny Moses to effect a change in the life of many Israelites but Moses couldn’t see what God was seeing so he cried WHO AM I? (verse 11) but I’m sure you know the world will not forget Moses till the end of time.
In Judges 6: we saw God again trying to use POOR GIDEON to save Israel from the hands of the Great Midianites who were terrorising the children of Israel, But because Gideon couldn’t see what God was seeing he cried LORD I’M A POOR MAN (verse 15). We can’t possibly blame Gideon though, because Bible says a poor man has no voice (Ecclesiastes 9:16). But I could picture God saying ‘If only he knows he was not poor.’
In 1 Samuel 16: We saw God trying to make tiny David the king of Israel. Samuel was a prophet yet he couldn’t see what God was seeing. In verse 7 I could picture God being kind of disappointed with Samuel because he was basing his judgment on physical appearance.
In Jeremiah 1: prophet Jerry would have been a less useful being on earth if God hadn’t cautioned him to Stop looking down on himself (verse 6 and 7).
I could go on to talk about Mary, Joseph, Abraham, etc. But the goal here is to inform you that God sees a bigger you so you must guide you self esteem at all cost.
We encourage you to dare things you have been afraid of, go where you have been afraid to go, take decisions you have been afraid to take BUT DO ALL THESE WITH WISDOM.
