How to Make Heaven!

As believers and Christ lovers, one of the most important thing we must do on a daily basis is to Pray. Even the Holy scriptures on which our foundation is built on admonishes us to pray without ceasing – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Prayer is the most effective weapon of every believing Christian. But when we pray amiss, is likely we’re not going get our desired answer(s).

Set specific prayer times (quiet time):

Create time schedules when you’ll be comfortable to pray without distractions of any type. Although God is always with at all time, we need to create specific times at which we’ll engage him in conversation through prayers. This will also help improve your prayer/spiritual life.

Use prayer Guidelines and Make Prayer Lists

Creating a list of your prayer request/points will help you in knowing what to pray for at specific times. It will cause you not to pray amiss.

Pray Specifically

Don’t always pray generally every time you kneel to pray, learn to pray specifically. God knows you’re faced with many circumstances but you have to be specific while praying, this will trigger God to answer your prayers speedily.

Avoid Distraction

This is the major reason why you need to map out specific prayer times for yourself, distractions can hinder/delay the answers to your prayers.

Converse with God

Try to make your prayers seem like conversations and not commands. Talk to God as if you’re discussing with your earthly father, friend, brother or a close relation.

Pray aloud sometimes

Most times, you’re encouraged to pray aloud. Although God will hear you even when we pray inside our heart, praying aloud helps to stay focused and think intelligently about your words. Praying silently is a quick way to zone out and lose focus and intensity in your prayer time.

Find a Prayer Partner

If you’re not comfortable praying alone then look for a prayer partner. Ask God to give you a good partner so that he/she will not be discouraged as time goes on.
